What would you do if money was no object?
As cliche as it may be, the answer is the difference between living and simply existing. The sad truth is that we spend the majority of our waking hours at work feeling unfulfilled in our 9-5. Follow your passion may sound great but it’s not practical. Student loans, rent, mortgages, kids and aging parents come first. It’s called responsibility, and for many it supersedes individual interests.
Take care of what you need to do, but leave some time for yourself. I call it my personal passion project and it’s my time to Do Me!
Whether its a Sunday afternoon or every evening after work, set aside some time to Do You. It may start with an hour each day and build into your entire weekend, but allocate space in your life where you can perform at your best. For me, it’s creating MichaelPeggs.com and connecting with You. It’s my time to stretch, share, learn, grow, experiment and, most importantly, love life.
It may be for the love or maybe you want to create a career, but spend the time developing your interests outside of work and live life on your terms. Remember, Dare to Do You.
