My favorite color growing up was green. Frankly, and I’m embarrassed to admit this now, my friends called me Money Mike. I was obsessed with fast cars, fancy clothes, big houses and accumulating as much money as possible. Thankfully, I grew out of that phase a long time ago but I still identify closely with the color green.
According to the True Color Personality Quiz, I’m still a green which means I see myself as confident, logical, inventive and I have [very] high expectations. In relationships, I am uneasy when my emotions get the best of me and I want to establish relationships that allow me to focus my energy on my career. And, as a child, I constantly had questions and gave respect when it was given. Basically, I was a difficult kid and today I like to stress myself out and work…a lot.
Your True Color, originally conceived by Don Lowry in 1979, is an attempt to identify various personality styles and label them with colors. The belief is that with increased understanding of ourselves and others we can minimize conflict and foster cooperation. The four colors are orange, blue, gold and green.
